Vice President JD Vance Stopped in North Platte For The Mid Term Rally
NORTH PLATTE — Vice President JD Vance made a stop in North Platte to rally Republican voters ahead of the midterm elections during the morning of Thursday, Oct. 22.
Vance spoke to help support Republicans who were seeking re-election, mainly Governor Jim Pillen and Senator Pete Ricketts.
Also during his remarksVance announced a $1.3 billion investment in domestic fertilizer manufacturing in Nebraska, saying the expansion would help lower costs for farmers. One of the two companies receiving funding, TalusAg, is opening two manufacturing facilities in Nebraska.
Vance’s remarks toward the end were interrupted by a woman who suffered a medical episode in the seats behind the speaker’s platform. After leading the room in the Lord’s Prayer, Vance made his way over to the woman to check on her and spoke with her briefly.
“My prayers are with the woman who had a medical emergency at today’s rally in Nebraska. I hope she has a speedy recovery. Thank you to the medical staff and first responders who reacted swiftly,” Vance posted on social media shortly after the speech.
