Southwest Blows Past Silver Lake 54-12

The Southwest Roughrider Football Team traveled to Bladen, NE to take on Silver Lake. Southwest would get the win 54-12. 

Deric Kelley of Southwest would open the game with three consecutive rushing touchdowns with runs of 4 yards, 74 yards, and 33 yard touchdowns to open the game 19-0 after Southwest would only convert on one PAT attempt.

Silver Lake would answer with a 30 yard Touchdown Pass but Southwest would then rattle off three more consecutive touchdowns with a 32 yard Touchdown run by Jacob Barber, 1 yard touchdown run by Gage Hammond, and a 27 yard Touchdown run by Deric Kelley. 

Silver Lake would get one more touchdown through the air Graham Karr to Brody Knehans, but Southwest would respond right back with a 6 yard and 7 yard Deric Kelley Touchdowns all happening in the first half.

Neither team would score in the second half. Final score Southwest 54-12.

Southwest Rushing 328 Total - 2 yards passing on the night. Silver Lake 126 total yards passing -15 yards rushing.

Southwest now 1-0 on the year will travel to Red Cloud next week.
