Rienk Mast Invited to Portsmouth Invitational

Nebraska senior Rienk Mast has been invited to participate in next week's Portsmouth Invitational Tournament (P.I.T.).

The four-day event features 64 of the top seniors in the country, giving them an opportunity to perform in scouts from NBA teams and from overseas.  Mast becomes the sixth Husker since 2016 to participate in this invitation-only event, joining Derrick Walker (2023), Alonzo Verge Jr. (2022), James Palmer Jr. (2019), Tai Webster (2017) and Shavon Shields (2016). Competition begins on Wednesday, April 15, and live streaming is available for a fee on the tournament website (portsmouthinvitational.com). Each team will play three games with the championship taking place on Saturday, April 18.

Mast is a two-time All-Big Ten performer who averaged 13.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in 2025-26, as Nebraska won a school-record 28 games and reached the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time in program history. Mast, who ranked in the top three of the team in scoring, rebounding and assists, reached double figures 24 times as a senior, including five 20-point efforts. He totaled a season-high 31 points, including seven 3-pointers against Winthrop. He posted the third triple-double in school history against FIU with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. For his career, Mast was a four-time all-conference honoree who totaled 1,894 points, 1,094 rebounds and 351 assists in his college career.
