• Nebraska checked in at No. 20 in the D1Baseball Top 25 while also appearing 15th in Perfect Game's Top 25, No. 18 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll, 19th in NCBWA's rankings and No. 21 in Baseball America's Top 25.

• The Huskers are one of four Big Ten teams to appear in the rankings this week, with UCLA (No. 1), Oregon (No. 14) and USC (No. 25) also landing spots in D1Baseball's Top 25.

Huskers in the Big Ten Tournament

• This week marks the 11th Big Ten Tournament the Huskers have appeared in since joining the Big Ten in 2012.

• Nebraska holds a 23-16 record in 39 all-time games in the Big Ten Tournament, including a 17-8 mark in the six seasons the tournament has been played in Omaha.

• The Big Red have won nine consecutive games in the Big Ten Tournament after becoming the eighth team in Big Ten history to repeat as tournament champions.

 Home Away From Home

• Nebraska has won 12 consecutive games at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, dating back to the 2024 season.

• The Huskers are 2-0 at the home of the College World Series this season after recording a pair of wins against Creighton.

• The Big Red posted a 5-0 mark in 2025 with a midweek victory over Creighton and a 4-0 run in the Big Ten Tournament.

• The Huskers' 12-game win streak began in 2024 when Nebraska rattled off five straight wins on their way to the 2024 Big Ten Tournament title after dropping their opener against Ohio State.

Big Red Reach 40-Win Mark For 19th Time

• Nebraska reached 40 wins for the 19th time in program history with last weekend's sweep of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

• Additionally, the Huskers reached 40 regular-season wins for the 12th time in program history and first time since 2005.

• With a 41-14 overall record, Nebraska finished as one of 13 teams nationally with at least 40 regular-season wins, including one of eight Power Four teams.

Carey, Grego Highlight Huskers' Big Ten Honors

• Senior Dylan Carey was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, while Drew Grego was recognized as the Big Ten Freshman of the Year.

• Carey was joined on the All-Big Ten First Team by Carson Jasa, and J'Shawn Unger, Case Sanderson and Grego were selected to the All-Big Ten Second Team.

• Grego and Jeter Worthley were named to the All-Freshman Team, and Carey and Moyer landed on the All-Defensive Team.

Grego's Freshman Campaign Among NU's Best

• Drew Grego has put together one of the top freshman seasons at Nebraska in recent history, becoming the sixth player in program history to be named conference freshman of the year.

• Max Anderson (2021) and Chad Luensmann (2016) were named Big Ten Freshman of the Year, while Shane Komine (1999), Matt Hopper (2000) and Johnny Dorn (2005) were all named Big 12 Freshman of the Year.

• Grego has appeared in 48 games, including 42 starts, and is hitting .348 with 13 doubles, a triple, seven home runs, 44 RBI and 32 runs scored.

• The freshman tied a school record with three doubles in last week's win at Creighton and has recorded 17 multi-hit games and driven in multiple runs in 17 contests this season.

• Grego's 44 RBI are the third-most by an NU freshman this century, trailing Matt Hopper (71 in 2000) and Alex Gordon (48 in 2003).

• Grego was named Big Ten's Co-Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, NCBWA's National Hitter of the Week, Perfect Game's Freshman of the Week and to Baseball America's National Team of the Week after leading the Huskers to a perfect 4-0 week against Creighton and No. 12 USC in April.

Jasa gets the Nod on Friday Night

• Redshirt sophomore Carson Jasa is set to toe the rubber and make his 15th start of the season in tomorrow night's quarterfinal game.

• Jasa is 9-2 on the season with a 3.58 ERA and 101 strikeouts in 75.1 innings while limiting opposing hitters to a .211 batting average.

Jasa Climbing NU Single-Season Strikeout List

• Carson Jasa has 101 strikeouts on the year, which is tied with Brett Sears (2024) for the most by a Husker in the Big Ten era and ninth all-time in program history.

• Jasa is one away from tying Johnny Dorn (2008) and Joba Chamberlain (2006) in seventh and 12 shy of matching Aaron Marsden (2003) in sixth.

Huskers Plunked 119 Times, Set Program Record

• The Husker offense set a program record after being hit by a pitch 119 times this season, surpassing the previous record of 111 in 2025.

• Nebraska has reached the century mark in hit by pitches three times in the last four seasons after totaling 111 last season and 103 in 2023.

Big Red's First 75-Hit Trio Since 2005

• Mac Moyer, Dylan Carey and Case Sanderson are the first Husker trio with at least 75 hits in a season since Alex Gordon (94 hits), Curtis Ledbetter (92 hits) and Joe Simokaitis (86 hits) in 2005.

• Moyer leads the NU offense with a .376 batting average the plate with 12 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 35 RBI and 63 runs scored.

• Sanderson is hitting .365 with 16 doubles, a triple, six homers, 45 RBI and 59 runs, and Carey has 16 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs, 63 RBI and 51 runs while batting .347 this season.

Lucky Number Six in the Bolt Era

• Nebraska is 165-31 under head coach Will Bolt when scoring at least six runs.

• The Husker offense has scored six-plus runs in 36 of the 41 victories this season after reaching the six-run mark 32 times last season, compiling a 25-7 record.

• Nebraska scored six-plus runs in 34 contests (28-6) in 2024 after tallying at least six runs 33 times (26-7) in 2023, 23 times (19-4) in 2022, 28 times (26-2) in 2021 and seven times (5-2) in 2020.

Carey Becomes NU's All-Time Doubles Leader

• Senior Dylan Carey became Nebraska's all-time leader in doubles last month, surpassing a record held by none other than Husker head coach Will Bolt.

• Carey broke the record with a leadoff double to begin the bottom of the seventh inning in the series finale against Indiana on March 29, giving him his 57th career two-base hit.

•Bolt set the previous mark of 56 doubles during his playing career at Nebraska, a record that stood since 2002.

Carey Joins 200-Career Hit Club, Climbs All-Time List

• Dylan Carey became the 28th member of Nebraska's 200-hit club with five hits in a road series at No. 7 Auburn earlier this season.

• Carey is two hits shy of tying Darin Erstad (1993-95) in fourth on the all-time list in program history. 

• Before Carey, the Huskers had five players join the 200-hit club since 2015, including second-round draft picks Max Anderson (2021-23) and Ryan Boldt (2014-16).

Unger Climbing Single-Season Saves List

• Sophomore closer J'Shawn Unger was named to the NCBWA's Midseason Stopper of the Year Watch List, the organization announced last month.

• Unger is tied for ninth in the country with 11 saves and is 6-1 with a 4.46 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 36.1 innings while limiting opposing batters to a .206 batting average across 23 relief outings.

• With six wins and 11 saves, the Blair, Neb., native has factored into the decision in 17 of Nebraska's 41 victories this season.

• Unger's 11 saves are tied with Thom Ott (2001) for ninth-most by a Husker in a season in program history.

• The right-hander is one shy of tying Josh Roeder (2014) in eighth and two away from matching Luke Broderick (2025), Colby Gomes (2019), Jake Hohensee (2018), Chad Luensmann (2016) and Brett Jensen (2006) in third.

Big Innings Propel NU Offense in the Bolt Era

• During Will Bolt's tenure at Nebraska, the Huskers have scored three-plus runs in an inning in 202 games and hold a 162-39-1 record in those contests.

• The Huskers are 87-19 in the last three seasons when the NU offense has generated the big inning (3+ runs) in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

• In 2025, Division I teams who scored three-plus runs in an inning won 70.1% of the time.

Going the Extra Mile

• The Huskers have recorded at least four extra-base hits in 139 games under head coach Will Bolt, posting a 114-24-1 mark in those games since 2020.

• Additionally, the Big Red are 75-9-1 when the Husker offense tallies five-plus extra-base hits under Bolt.

Get a Lead for the Bullpen

• During Will Bolt's tenure at Nebraska, the Huskers are 171-19-1 since the start of the 2020 season when they lead after the sixth inning.

• The Big Red are 169-17 when leading after seven innings and hold a 165-11 mark when leading after the eighth inning since 2020.

Notables on the 2026 Campaign

• With wins against No. 7 Auburn, No.12 USC (3x), No. 16 Florida State and No. 21 Oregon this season, the Big Red have 12 wins against ranked opponents in the last two seasons.

• With the series sweep of No. 12 USC earlier this season, Nebraska recorded its first sweep against a ranked team since sweeping No. 19 Texas in a non-conference series in 2015.

• Nebraska has recorded multiple 10-game win streaks in the same season for the first time since 2006 after posting win streaks 10 and 11 games this season.

• Head coach Will Bolt recorded his 200th career win at Nebraska in the Huskers' 12-2 run-rule victory in seven innings vs. No. 12 USC, becoming the sixth head coach in program history to reach the 200-win mark.

• Dylan Carey is the ninth Husker in program history, and the first since Scott Schreiber in 2018, to record at least 200 hits, 150 runs and 150 RBI.

• Mac Moyer saw his 45-game on-base streak come to an end earlier this month at Ohio State, which is the longest streak by a Husker since Brice Matthews' string of 52 straight games in 2023.

• The Husker offense is scoring 7.7 runs per game through 55 games this season. Since 2013, the Big Red have finished one full season above seven runs per game after scoring 7.5 runs per game in 2023.

• The Huskers have recorded five walk-off victories this season. Going back to the final three weeks of the regular season in 2025, Nebraska has totaled nine wins in walk-off fashion.

• The Big  Red have run-ruled their opponent eight times and has scored 10-plus runs 18 times through 55 games this season.

• The NU pitching staff is holding opponents to a .234 batting average through 55 games, which would be the second-lowest opponent batting average for a full season this century, trailing the current low of .227 in 2005.

• Dylan Carey ranks among the DI's active career leaders in five categories, including second at-bats (889), third in doubles (63), fifth in games played (230), eighth in hits (259) and 16th in total bases (429).

Offensive Outbursts Against Big Ten Foes

• Since joining the Big Ten in 2012, Nebraska has scored 30-plus runs in a three-game conference series 14 times after last weekend's series sweep of Minnesota.

• The Big Red totaled its sixth-highest Big Ten series total after racking up 33 runs against the Gophers in Minneapolis last weekend.
