NDOT reminds travelers to plan ahead for the Men’s College World Series

June 11, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.) — As baseball fans prepare to head to Omaha for the 2026 Men’s College World Series, the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) encourages drivers to plan ahead using the Nebraska 511 website and app to plan their routes and stay informed about traffic and construction impacts.

Thousands of visitors are expected to travel to Omaha throughout the tournament, resulting in increased traffic. With Nebraska 511, drivers can access real-time travel information, including road conditions, traffic speeds, construction updates, closures, traffic incidents, and more to help plan their trip.

Travelers should be prepared for active construction projects along routes into Omaha and near downtown Omaha. Before leaving, NDOT encourages motorists to check Nebraska 511 for the latest travel information and allow extra time to reach their destination. Construction zones that may impact traffic include:

Plan for delays. This speed limit is 55 miles per hour in this construction zone.

Lincoln. The speed limit is 65 miles per hour in this construction zone.
