MNB Seniors Come Back To Defeat Imperial

Despite trailing by as many as six runs, MNB Seniors rallied to top Imperial 13-7 on Tuesday.
MNB Seniors scored 10 runs in the sixth inning on the way to victory. an error scored three runs, an error scored one run, an error scored one run, Bo Schlegel singled, scoring one run, Jaime Samaniego singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and a steal of home scored one run.
Imperial got on the board in the top of the first inning after THOMAS REEVES singled down the left field line, and CONNER STROMBERGER grounded out, each scoring one run.
Imperial extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI walks by STROMBERGER, COHEN LAMBERT, and BREXTIN MORENO.
Schlegel pitched four innings in relief for MNB Seniors. The pitcher gave up three hits and one run while, striking out six and walking two. Cole Block stepped on the mound first for MNB Seniors. The hurler allowed one hit and two runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking four. KADEN VOGT started on the hill for Imperial. The starter gave up five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking three.
Kooper Rakes went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead MNB Seniors in hits. Asher Wilson and Rakes each stole multiple bases for MNB Seniors. MNB Seniors had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. MNB Seniors ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game.
STROMBERGER led Imperial with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. VOGT led Imperial with four walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 13 walks for the game.
