MNB Seniors With Tough Game Against Mount Michael

MNB Seniors had trouble keeping up with Mount Michael in an 11-0 loss on Sunday.

Mount Michael opened the scoring in the second after Noah Stricklett homered to center field, scoring two runs.

 

Mount Michael scored five runs on five hits in the top of the sixth inning. Miles Wewel doubled, scoring three runs, and Nolan Joslin singled, scoring two runs.

 

Bryson Gullion stepped on the hill first for MNB Seniors. The hurler surrendered six hits and six runs over five innings, striking out three and walking six. Colin Joslin started on the hill for Mount Michael. The starter surrendered one hit and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking four.

 

Cole Davidson went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead MNB Seniors in hits. MNB Seniors were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kooper Rakes had the most chances in the field with five.

 

Mount Michael amassed 11 hits in the game. Wewel provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Mount Michael with three runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Noah Troester, Camden Cerone, and Joslin each collected two hits for Mount Michael. Mount Michael had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Ashton Burroughs and Ben Alessandro led the team with three free passes each. Cerone and Alessandro each stole multiple bases for Mount Michael. Mount Michael stole six bases in the game.
