McCook Tennis Team Recieves NCA Team Academic Excellence Award
On behalf of the Nebraska Coaches Association (NCA), we congratulate the McCook Bison Boys Tennis team on earning the Team Academic Excellence Award. This marks the third consecutive year the McCook Boys Tennis team has earned the prestigious honor.
We thank you for your support and commitment to preserving all that is great about Nebraska high school tennis. The award is intended to recognize teams that excelled in the classroom while also being dedicated to tennis. Here are the criteria that have been established:
Team = Individuals of your NSAA State Team Entry. (Team must have fielded a complete squad at the state championships (#1 Singles, #2 Singles, #1 Doubles & #2 Doubles)
Academic Period = 2025 First Semester GPA per athlete
Minimum Cumulative Team GPA = 3.30 or higher on a 4.00 scale (please use non weighted GPA)
Head Coach must be a current active 2025-2026 NCA member.
The 2025-2026 school year marks the third year the Nebraska Coaches Association has provided the Team Academic Excellence Awards program. We are excited to announce that Currency, a Nebraska based company, once again is part of the NCA team as the presenting partner of the award. Last year 1,258 Nebraska schools earned recognition across 25 different sports.
