Game 1 vs Buckley

Miles Pollmann struck out 11 batters as the starting pitcher led McCook MNB Seniors past Buckley Bombers 6-2 on Saturday. Pollmann allowed four hits and one run over five innings while walking four. McCook MNB Seniors got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Pollmann singled, Buckley committed an error, Tristan Campbell walked, and Espn Hall walked, each scoring one run. A line out by Campbell extended the McCook MNB Seniors lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the second inning. Caleb Garcia took the loss for Buckley Bombers. The starting pitcher went five innings, surrendering six runs (four earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking nine. Simon Garcia appeared in relief for McCook MNB Seniors. Pollmann went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead McCook MNB Seniors in hits. Hall, Pollmann, Campbell, and Quentin Terry each drove in one run for McCook MNB Seniors. McCook MNB Seniors had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Trey Tiller, Hall, and Campbell led the team with two bases on balls each. McCook MNB Seniors were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Terry had the most chances in the field with 12. Azaviel Batrez, the number eight hitter for Buckley Bombers, led the way with two runs batted in. Garcia, Buckley Bombers number seven hitter, led the team with three hits in three at-bats. Colin Cone collected two hits for Buckley Bombers in two at bats. 

Game 2 vs Hastings Five Points Bank Chiefs

McCook MNB Seniors lost to Five Points Bank Chiefs 5-2 on Saturday at McCook. Five Points Bank Chiefs opened the scoring in the second after an error scored two runs. Five Points Bank Chiefs added one run in the third after McCook MNB Seniors committed an error. Nick Mousel earned the win for Five Points Bank Chiefs. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and two runs (zero earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking two. Gabe Roberts took the loss for McCook MNB Seniors. The starting pitcher went seven innings, surrendering four runs (one earned) on eight hits, striking out one and walking one. Tristan Campbell and Quentin Terry were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for McCook MNB Seniors. Roberts went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead McCook MNB Seniors in hits. Naz Robinson and Isaiah Shaw each collected two hits for Five Points Bank Chiefs. McCook MNB Seniors defeated Colby 7-4 on Sunday at McCook. McCook MNB Seniors opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. McCook MNB Seniors first got on the board when Trey Tiller singled, scoring two runs. Brody Graham earned the win for McCook MNB Seniors. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and four runs (three earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out five and walking three. Cobin Curry took the loss for Colby. They went one inning, surrendering zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking none. Braxton Withington started on the hill for Colby. They allowed three hits and four runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three. Simon Garcia collected the save. Tiller, Gabe Roberts, Miles Pollmann, and Tripp Raile each collected one hit for McCook MNB Seniors. Tiller, Pollmann, and Quentin Terry each drove in two runs for McCook MNB Seniors. McCook MNB Seniors turned one double play in the game. Max Kersenbrock provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Colby with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Brayden Foss and Talon Andreasen were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Colby while hitting back-to-back.
