McCook High School is very excited to announce Mr. Skyler Kalinski as the new Head Boys
Wrestling coach for the McCook Bison.

Mr. Kalinski for the past 12 years has been coaching for the Bison in an assistant coaching role.
During this time, he has been a great teacher, leader, and coach, for our team in the
fundamentals and mental toughness needed in wrestling. Skyler has also been in charge of the
McCook Wrestling Club for the past 12 years. During this time, he was able to raise the club
participation numbers to over double the number of wrestlers. The wrestling club is now a
chartered club with Nebraska USA Wrestling and has competed every year at a very high level.
Just last year they were able to bring home the title of Huskerland State Dual Runner-Up in the
club division consisting of over 30 clubs from around the state. He has also coached over 50
USA and AAU state medalists.

Skyler is very organized and competitive coach. He understands the amount of work needed to
have a successful program and the importance and impact that a coach can have on a young
athlete.

Skyler states that; “Mentoring and coaching young athletes has been a tremendous blessing for
me these past 12 years. I love making a difference in an athlete’s life and helping them grow
into young adults. I am honored to bring my coaching skillset to the next level at McCook High
School.”

Skyler is married to Makenzie and they have four children Jaxx, Gracelynn, Beauden, and Rylee.
