McCook Bison Fall To Adams Central Patriots

McCook Bison lost to Adams Central Patriots 7-4 on Monday.
Adams Central opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Adams Central first got on the board when Camille Esch singled, scoring one run.
Adams Central scored five runs on six hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Macie Deines singled, scoring one run, Jordyn Pracht doubled, scoring one run, Karsyn Simmons doubled, scoring two runs, and Madison Shaw singled, scoring one run.
Leighton Anderson opened the game for McCook. The righty gave up 13 hits and seven runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out three and walking none. Joshlyn Konen opened the game for Adams Central Patriots Varsity. The right-handed pitcher allowed seven hits and four runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking three.
Carlie Rupp led the team with two runs batted in. Anderson led McCook with three hits in four at bats.
Adams Central tallied 13 hits in the game. Simmons, Shaw, Deines, Lakyn Lewis, and Konen each collected two hits for Adams Central. Simmons went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Simmons stole two bases.
McCook will travel to Hastings St. Cecilia for their next game on Thursday.
