Maywood Public Schools Superintendent arrested and charged with Child Abuse

The Frontier County Sheriffs Office was made aware of an incident that occurred on October 1, 2024 at Maywood Public Schools between a staff member and a 12 year old student which was captured on surveillance video.

After investigation, the Nebraska Attorney General's Office filed a criminal complaint against Mark Bejot, Superintendent, for Child Abuse not resulting in serious bodily injury, a class 3A felony. Bejot is set for an initial appearance on November 1, 2024.
