The Nebraska women's basketball team added an experienced post presence with the signing of Edessa Noyan (pronounced Eh-dess-uh NO-yawn) on Friday, April 17.

"We are so excited to bring Edessa to the program," Nebraska Coach Amy Williams said. "She fits perfectly into all aspects of our team. She is a gritty player with great versatility who is willing to do the dirty work on the court. Her ability to play inside and out makes her a dangerous threat. She is a great teammate with a tremendous work ethic. Husker Nation will be excited to watch her this season."

She matched her then-career high with 16 points against North Carolina, after establishing the mark with 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting in a win over Coppin State. She also produced 10 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a career-high four blocks against Duke. She missed three weeks (Nov. 17-Dec. 8) with an illness early in the season.
