Gov. Pillen Earns NRA Endorsement
OMAHA, NE — Governor Jim Pillen earned a major endorsement from the NRA Political Victory Fund, the campaign arm of the NRA. Governor Pillen was joined at the rollout event by Lt. Governor Joe Kelly, former State Senator Col. Tom Brewer, and John Commerford, Chair, NRA Political Victory Fund.
“I’m grateful for the support of the NRA. I’ve been on the team since Day One — long before this calling ever happened,” said Governor Jim Pillen. “Another four year term simply means that we continue to spend more time defending the 2nd Amendment, making sure we help educate the next generation, and get more folks involved.”
“I know Nebraska is known for its hunting, but it is also the core of this country,” said John Commerford, Chair, NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF). “With all issues we deal with in politics, there’s always more work to do. That’s why we need four more years of Governor Pillen and his team in the statehouse here. We need true, solid leadership to continue expanding 2nd Amendment freedoms and the freedoms of all Nebraskans.”
“LB77 — Constitutional Carry — is framed up in my house, and it’s one of the pieces of legislation that I’ll be proudest of,” said former State Senator Colonel Tom Brewer. “To have an opportunity to come here today to introduce Governor Pillen… to thank him for his support of the 2nd Amendment and for making LB77 the law of the land, I was never going to turn down an opportunity like that.”
“This is one of those issues where you can’t sit in the middle,” said Lt. Governor Joe Kelly. “LB77 was a historic win for self defense for Nebraska’s citizens. Jim Pillen is a great leader and advocate for the 2nd Amendment.”
