Brandl era begins with win over Eastern Wyoming
Torrington, Wyo. – The North Platte Community College men’s basketball team opened the season with a 63-59 win over Eastern Wyoming College on the road Friday night.
“Our guys stepped up and made plays when we needed it,” said head coach Jacob Brandl. “Our youth definitely showed tonight, but we did a ton of things well.”
Dennis Rocha led the Knights with 18 points and nine rebounds, while Jaxson Brandl tallied 13 points off the bench. Sedrick Nari added eight points, as the Knights forced 17 Eastern Wyoming turnovers.
“We need to have a short memory and get ready for a tough game tomorrow,” Brandl said. “I trust our guys and I’m proud of the fight that this young group showed tonight.”
Knights (1-0) round out the weekend road trip against Laramie County Community College at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
