Anderson Named to All-Star Futures Game
Former Nebraska All-American Max Anderson was added by Major League Baseball to the 2026 All-Star Futures Game.
Anderson joins a group of 25 prospects on the American League roster that will go against 25 prospects on the National League roster on July 12 at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park. The game will be televised nationally on NBC at 11 a.m. CT.
A second-round pick in 2023, Anderson is slashing .303/.349/.502 with 13 doubles, a triple, nine home runs and 32 runs driven in at Triple-A Toledo in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Anderson is the sixth former Husker to play in the Futures Game, joining Brice Matthews (2025), Spencer Schwellenbach (2023), Joba Chamberlain (2007), Alex Gordon (2006) and Jamal Strong (2001). All five Huskers eventually reached the Major Leagues after playing in the Futures Game.
