Nokes is Top Bidder for NPCC Foundation Auction House

Laura Nokes, of McCook, is the winner of the 2023 North Platte Community College Foundation Auction House. She submitted the winning bid of $240,000 – a record for the college.

Students in the college’s Building Construction, Electrical and Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) Technology programs built the home from the ground up to gain hands-on, real-world experience.

The home was then sold via auction. Proceeds will be used to fund scholarships for students in the building trades.
