SENIOR FUN FAIR
-RWCHD will be joining Kinship Pointe’s annual Senior Fun Fair at the Red Willow County Fairground Community Building on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 9am to 12pm. We will be offering flu vaccinations, lab services at our health fair prices, and blood pressures. Please call the office at 308-345-1790 if you would like to schedule a lab draw or have any questions about our immunization services.
HERITAGE SENIOR CENTER FLU CLINIC
-RWCHD will be at the Heritage Senior Center on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 11am to 1pm to give flu immunizations to the public. Please sign up at the Heritage Senior Center or you may call the Red Willow County Health Department at 308-345-1790. Walk-ins are also welcome.
SCHOOL IMMUNIZATIONS AND CHILDREN CATCH-UP IMMUNIZATIONS
-We are available M-F 8am-4pm for school immunizations and any catch-up immunizations. We are giving college, 7th grade, kindergarten, and catch-up school vaccinations. Please call the office for an appointment. We can also look up your child’s vaccine records, review them with you, and print you off a copy.
LAB SERVICES AT HEALTH FAIR PRICES
-Labs are usually available on every Thursday morning from 8:00-10:00 am at health fair prices, by appointment only. CMP PANEL $50, PSA $35, TSH $30, HA1C $25, Vitamin D $55. Cash or check only; a receipt can be provided to be submitted to your insurance. 2023 FALL HEALTH FAIR-September 6th, 7th, 8th, 12th, & 14th from 7:30-10:00 am. Please call for an appointment. Clients will need to fast 12 hours prior to the metabolic panel and lipid profile. Water and medication are allowed, but no coffee, food, or vitamins.
SHINGLES IMMUNIZATIONS
-Please share with friends and family that it is important to get their shingles vaccination. Medicare Part D now covers any ACIP recommended vaccine, including shingles. This government Medicare program for ACIP vaccine coverage may only be available for 2023. Individuals are eligible to receive the shingles vaccination at age 50 and older or 18 and older if they have an immunocompromising condition. Most insurance companies cover the vaccine at 100%. The shingles vaccine is a 2-dose series that is separated by 2-6 months apart. Please call for questions.
PNEUMONIA IMMUNIZATION
-RWCHD now carries the new Prevnar 20 for Pneumonia. One dose of Prevnar 20 is recommended if you are 65 years of age. Prevnar 20 is also recommended for 19 years of age and older that have immunocompromising conditions, a CSF leak or cochlear implant, or chronic heart, liver, or lung disease; this includes asthma and cigarette smoking. HEPATITIS A & B IMMUNIZATIONS
- Hepatitis is a serious disease caused by a virus that attacks the liver. RWCHD offers Hepatitis A & B immunizations for children and adults. Please call the office for more information or to schedule an appointment.
COVID-19 VACCINATIONS/BOOSTERS
-We will have COVID-19 vaccines available in the fall. Please call if you need a primary or secondary dose of COVID-19 and we will refer you in the right direction if you would like to receive one.
FOOTCARE
-An RN provides footcare for our clients. A typical footcare appointment includes a foot soak, nail trim/filing, foot massage, and treatment of minor corns or callouses. Call for an appointment. Please bring your own basin and towel. $30.00 per visit.
